A law library is the laboratory of the legal profession. It is an organized collection of materials that helps users locate and understand legal authority. Today's rapid growth of legal information arising from litigation, statutes and regulations, increases the complexity of legal research. The law library can be an invaluable asset for keeping current in a changing legal landscape.

Mission

The mission of the LaSalle County Law Library is to provide legal information services to all licensed attorneys, judges, as well as members of the public. Our goal is to provide our patrons with accurate up-to-date legal information. To achieve this goal we are committed to tailoring the law library's collection to meet the needs of the legal community. The library currently maintains a core print collection and also provides access to electronic databases and internet resources for legal research through Westlaw Next. These materials include compilations of state and federal statutes, state and federal cases, digests, encyclopedias, regional reporters, treatises, forms and legal periodicals.

Location

The library is located on the 3rd floor of the Downtown Courthouse.
