Step 2: Prepare and Scan any paper documents you have brought with you

If you are filing into an existing case, do you know your case number? See tab titled "Online Court Records" to search for it!

  • A scanner is installed to help you create PDF copies of the papers you need to file.
  • You are welcome to create as many individual files as needed to fit your filing needs. Upon logging out of this machine, the files will be deleted.
  • The scanners feed and catch trays may be folded closed.  To open it up for use:
    • FIRST: OPEN THE PAPER FEED UPWARDS TOWARD THE WALL
    • SECOND: PULL THE CATCH TRAY FORWARD TOWARDS YOU
  • PREPARE
    • Circuit Court Rules Require that your documents have the following
      • Heading
        • For Example: Plaintiff Name vs. Defendant Name
      • Case Number
        • Can be handwritten on the first page of the scanned document
  • SCAN PROCESS:
    • Insert documents into scanner feed tray FACE DOWN and TOP DOWN
    • Press the BLUE SCAN button on the scanner
    • After all pages scan a box will pop up
    • Rename the file you scanned in a way that you will be able to identify it when you go to efile (i.e.: WaiverForm, Affidavit, Summons)
    • Click SAVE
      • By default your files will save to a folder on the Desktop named "Scanned Documents"
